I spotted this tundra swan preening, and he took my breath away. He looked angelic.
As I continued to study him, I began thinking about angels…I believe in unseen beings who mysteriously come to help in just the right moment.
And I believe that we as humans sometimes serve as angels for each other, as well. Not in a perfect white-winged way, but in our human way, supporting and caring for each other during our challenging times.
So many people have been angels for me, too numerous to count…the friend who humbly offered sage advice when my own thinking was clouded, the young man who held the door for me, the little girl in the woods who offered to share her snack, the family who welcomed me to my new neighborhood with a gift basket.
There have been so many angelic moments over my lifetime, and I know there are many more to come.
So today I say thank you to all the human angels who have graced my life.
How grateful I am…
