I spotted this young robin taking a bath at the edge of a pond one sunny afternoon. He splashed and chirped and flapped his wings and then flew to a branch to preen.
Then another bird hopped into the water, and then one more. I realized I had come upon a bird swimming hole.
These little creatures seemed so joyous and carefree. Not a worry in the world. And I smiled, grateful for a peek into their bird day.
How grateful I am to spend time with the Earth.
I suspect that time in nature is an antidote to everyday human challenges, offering respite from worries and responsibilities and anxious thoughts.
The natural world…such a blessing.
