As I watched this beautiful harrier resting in a field, I had a thought. Animals expend a tremendous amount of energy in their pursuit of food.
But they intuitively know when it’s time to care for their physical needs, and they stop everything.
Our bodies have an innate intelligence. They’re designed to let us know what they need in order to operate optimally. I recognize that I sometimes ignore the signals, overriding my knowing that my body needs consistent care.
I appreciate the reminder to ongoingly pay attention to my physicality. After all, we’re allotted only one physical body that must last a lifetime.
I’m grateful to the lovely harrier for the reminder…
