As I watched this lovely deer graze with her family, I had a thought. Though they resembled each other, each family member was distinctly different. No two exactly alike.
It’s true of humans as well. Despite the sheer number of us on the planet, no one is exactly like another. We each have our own special gifts, talents, personalities, and physical traits that make us distinct.
And yes, it’s our commonalities that connect us as a species. But maybe our differences also serve an important purpose.
It’s our differences that arouse our deepest human fears…and facing those fears affords us an opportunity to look inward to grow and awaken. Perhaps a blessing in disguise.
And as we heal our fearful ways, a path to peace and harmony opens.
Just a thought…inspired by a beautiful deer.
