I didn’t spot him right away…a frog beautifully camouflaged among the leaves floating in muddy water. I’m so amazed by how well animals can blend into the background, safe from predators.
As I watched the frog, I had a thought about myself. How often do I blend into the background, camouflaged, not wanting to be noticed? Fear, shyness, worries about looking foolish…it’s a young part of me that crops up from time to time. This part needs my compassion as she gets stuck in the past when it didn’t feel safe to be seen or to speak up.
What would it be like to be fully myself no matter where I am or who I’m with? Nothing hidden, no need for camouflage.
That's what I want...
